Our take
The Launchpad Pro is a solid Ableton Live companion. The 64 RGB pads are responsive and the software integration is smooth out of the box. It's compact and portable, perfect for my mobile setup. However, it's pretty much a one-trick pony for Ableton—using it with other DAWs requires extra mapping. The pads feel great for finger drumming, but I wish it had faders or knobs for mixing. Still, for the price, it's a fantastic pad controller.
